Men on the Roof, is it you? Yeah, yeah, yeah

The story:

I was in car and listening this on radio and I
couldn't quite make out what he was singing so
heard it as "Men on the roof" told my dad when I
saw him, laughed and said he didn't know what he
was saying either.

The radio presenter didn't know what this song was
about either or who Metal Guru was (but I couldn't
hear him say "Metal Guru" and thought he said the
name of the song was "Meta-ga-ru" but there was
cars going past and didn't have the radio volume
that high.
