I have loved this song since I was really little, and sadly this is how I grew up singing it until about 3 weeks ago when we were driving in the car and I'm singing. My mom gets this funny look on her face and asks me what I'm singing and I sing it for her and she starts laughing. I had no clue why she was laughing so I asked her if I was wrong and she finally told me the real lyrics. I'm glad it was just my mom in the car, the lyrics make more since now but I still like my version better because it is easier to sing.
