Classic and album rock sations play this song often enough that I heard it a lot in my teens and 20s. It wasn't until I bought the re-issued CD and read the lyrics in the booklet that I realized that I was wrong. Since this was around the time that Elton admitted he was bi, I figured that my mis heard version might be what he was really singing.
