I was born in '72 so by the time I could start to actually remember things Disco was in full swing and as I recall now the song was a huge hit so I'm sure it got lots of air play. As I got a little older disco faded and so did the song so I never thought about it until I was in high school working a menial job with a friend from school. We were shutting down the store we worked for and the song came on and I was just singing away! An I looked over and she was rolling in the floor over my version.....
