I misheard much of this song as a youngster, apparently. I
think I wanted it to be much darker, "cool on Christ"... That line
about the sapphires that I thought had the word "suck" in
it..And especially this, which conjured an image of someone
playing with dogged spheres, aka well-wornout boobies. Have
to give myself points for youthful creativity though.
