For years I'd been singing it as "Pour some sugar on mud" (I think because "me" is kind of pronounced "muh" in the song.) I guess I thought they were ruining the sugar in the name of love... It wasn't until after I got married and my husband overheard me singing it, that I found out. I didn't believe him either, had to see the actual lyrics before I'd believe him. (I don't know why the song title never clued me in...) Even knowing better, I still hear "Pour some sugar on mud"!
