Put the lime in the coconut, shake it all up

The story:

I was showing off to my mother the shared joke I had had with the group I was volunteering with this summer by singing along with the song on my brand new cd. That was when I realized that my version differed from the original. Of course, I immediately had to go look up the original, and cry out in anguish. Our joke was still funny, though. ^_^
