in college in the late 70's, we has a cheap plastic clock radio on which the number would flip. we were in a small rural town with weak fm signals, so we listened to am radio. my roommate loved this song and would walk around singing it with the wrong lyrics. when she went home for a weekend, she realized what the real words were.
