After I'd pushed (no, forced) my point on a car-load of people also singing the song while on a road-trip - even claiming it as fact, saying I'd seen it discussed on an MTV episode... The front-passenger reached into the glove-box, which had the original cover, including lyrics... DOH!!
This was after probably 10 years of singing it, amongst MANY people, thinking I knew my stuff & often discussing my "interesting" lyrics. LMAO... Man, I'm a dick.
