This is one of my favorite Slipknot songs, and because of the
rest of the lyrics (about possession of a loved one, she's
coming home forever, etc), it made sense to me that he had
made himself a girlfriend by sewing a doll. It sounds like he
talks about sewing twice in the lyrics, so rather than me
thinking it's about a real person, I mistakenly pictured a dude
obsessively sewing a gf, either out of body parts a la the movie
"May," or just out of fabric.
I have always doubted that these were the real lyrics so i dont
think i ever sang them outside of my car when alone, so after a
good 10 years of thinking these were the lyrics, I looked them
up just now, along with the possible meanings (might be about
the singer's wife, Scarlet, and vermillion is another name for
the color scarlet).
