Slippers of the sleeping man

The story:

I was a kid when this song came out in the 1980s. Two days ago I heard the song for the first time in over twenty years when I happened to be listening to a classic rock station in my car. I was like, "oh my god, it's the slippers of a sleeping man song! I haven't heard this in years!" When I got home I decided to search for the song on the internet, which turned out to be frustrating since I was unable to find it by searching with what I thought were the lyrics. So I thought, well it kind of sounded like ZZ Top, and they were big back then. So I looked at the ZZ Top Discography on Wikipedia. Seeing that the only hit song listed with the word "sleeping" in the title was called "Sleeping Bag" I looked for the video on YouTube. As the video played I realized for the first time how goofy I must have looked when I sang along with the song way back then. But I'm sure my older sister already thought I was a dork anyway.
