Some day the mountain lion get 'em but the law never will.

The story:

My husband and I pass the time on road trips (and grocery store trips and any other trips) by singing old songs and television theme songs. One night, on a longer one of our trips, we were belting out the old "Dukes of Hazzard" theme song. We got to the part in question, and I sang out, "some day the mountain lion get 'em but the law never will!", to his shock, surprise and eventual laughter. I was quite sure I was right! It's logical! They're country boys. They live in the mountains. They face bootleggers, moonshiners and have a friend named "Cougar", so it's only logical that a mountain lion, may, in fact, get them! I argued this point for the couple of hours it took us to get home, pulled out all my logical stops, only to be proven wrong by a quick trip to Google!
