The story:

I used to sing the song with the wrong lyrics when I was little, and they made perfect sense - we lved in Las Vegas, right outside the city, and if there was a lizard(or any other desert animal in the house) my mom would either pick it up and throw it back outside or squish it. Depending on how poisonous it was. At thirteen, when I was still singing the song with the wrong lyrics, my brother actually began to make fun of me ... pointing out, in front of all of his friend, the real lyrics.
