It was actually not very embarrassing when I found out what the real words were. I knew my words were not correct, because they don't make any sense, however I couldn't figure out what the real words were. Then one day I was given the sheet music by a woman who wanted me to play the song at her wedding. I immediately flipped to that part of the song and discovered how incredibly wrong I had been all these years.
