I never thought the lyrics I heard made sense, so I thought they must have been on drugs when they wrote them. After all, why would someone sing about a pine cone?
Then I asked my brother about that pine cone song from Steely Dan, and he laughed. Once the lyrics sunk in, I guess it makes more sense than what I heard.
