I was singing it at a middle school party and one of my friends looked at me and said, "Say that again. You do know that this song is called 'Bad MOON (EMPHASIS ON MOON) on the Rise,' don't you?" And I still didn't get it. They had to tell me--"He's saying 'bad MOON on the rise." I thought the song was about a party and the singer was giving directions to guests.
