It wasn't really embarrassing.
I was reading about The Beatles press officer Derek Taylor and it said the George Harrison came to visit him in LA. During this visit Harrison was inspired to write Blue Jay Way while waiting on Derek and his wife to come visit. After reading the lyrics, the song suddenly made more sense. I thought it was a drug trip song like I am The Walrus.
