It didn't make sense but I happily sang along. I was 11 or 12 and there were a lot of expressions I didn't yet understand and figured this was one of them. Years later I was in a bar in Ohio and Mark Dinning was performing. I met him and spent some time talking with him. His sister had written that song and it was his only real hit. I told him how I had heard the lyrics. He was puzzled by that but thought it was pretty funny. Very nice guy. He died a few years later.
