Ummm. After there was an internet. Never loved this tune, but heard it played in a mall, & realized: no that can't be right.
Since I always seem to fabulously mishear lyrics, I never shared this one w/ anyone. I just remember thinking "Silly song. How much better could the real lyrics possibly be anyway?"
This makes sense especially since I was a mopey high school goth in downtown NYC where everybody was trying to be more alternative than everybody else. I guess the most embarrassing detail is I had actually listened to this music at all. Very high school I know. Shhh don't tell anyone(!) Wow I'm old. Anyway thanks for letting me share. Peace. :)
