The story:

When the song was popular on the radio my mom took a liking
to it along with myself. She kept saying dead horse race till I
told her the actual lyrics. Since I had baby brothers at the time
we kept singing "dead horse race" when ever it was on. But I
let her sing the lyrics for a good 3 months before telling her.
