Violence in the streets

The story:

Actually, it was my best friend at the time who had the lyrics wrong. She had downed a couple of drinks and was singing "Violence in the streets" when I walked into the room and asked the guy standing next to the stereo to turn it up. I explained that it was mine and my boyfriends "song". My friend was shocked. She stood up and asked what kind of jerk I was going out with. I was confused, until I heard her singing "Violence in the streets" later and figured out what she was talking about. No one else at the party had a clue-they just thought she had lost her mind.
