I've been singing this song this way since I was 5 years old. I'm now 23 and I just now discovered that Loggins was singing "Please celebrate me home." I asked why Loggins wanted to celebrate meatballs during Thanksgiving dinner this year, and I got a table full of shocked looks and food dropping out of my dad's mouth. My mom told me that it's "please celebrate me home," followed by "I won't ever hear these lyrics the same way again." Hehehehe. Celebrate meatballs! It's the new theme for an Italian restaurant! Since I am Italian, I will be singing this on spaghetti meatball night.
