The story:

My best friend's Sweet 16th birthday party, a group of us were hanging out in a tent in her backyard after doing some midnight topless swimming, singing to AFI, when I blurted out those words, not realizing what I had said. One girl said, "Did you just say what I think you did?!" & repeated what she believed me to have said. I agreed that, yes, I did in fact, replace part of the song with 'where I beat off without a trace', & from then on, we've all sung it that way. We've forgotten what the real lyrics were before from this lovely event.
