My aunt had always thought that the lyrics were "Where have all the flowers gone?
Long time Bessie!" and never actually knew the real lyrics. Then, I tried to tell her what the words actually were. Or what I thought they were, anyway. I told her that it wasn't "Long time, Bessie" it was "Long time, no see" and she believed me! It took us a while to realize that it was actually "Long time passing". I certainly felt stupid when I found out!
