The Story: Don't eat the fruit in the garden, Eden,, It wasn't in God's natural plan., You were only a rib,, And look at what you did,, To Adam, the father of Man.
The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
This was my first misheard lyric from this song (the second being the part that goes "Happily ever after, below the waist.") My daughter corrected me by singing the correct lyrics, "You're wrong!" to the music. I thought she was just telling me that I had the lyrics wrong, and asked her "So what are the RIGHT words then??" Of course, she rewound the CD and chanted AGAIN, "YOU'RE WRONG!" After a couple of times, I finally got the idea. Naturally, all this took place between her gasps for air, since she was also laughing the entire time.
Whenever I sang this part, I imagined the Soldiers at the Witch's Castle in The Wizard of Oz marching and chanting while our intrepid heroes observe. Seriously, give that part a listen! It sounds almost exactly the same!
