The story:
My parents corrected me when I was about 6 years old...then had to convince me by showing me the lyrics on the liner notes. This was back when the album first came out and drive-ins were still popular and plentiful. I figured going to a drive-in was something you might do at night...even if there weren't too many drive-ins in cities. Hey, I was six years old! Now I laugh thinking that "Drive-In U.S.A." sounds like the title of some awful early 80s teen flick.
