Do you suffer from wanton memory loss

The story:

Well, I finally took a long, hard listen to those words I'd been so fond of (and probably in denial that they could be different), and realized I was just wrong, wrong, wrong. That was my favorite part of the song 'cause I thought it was really cool to use the word "wanton", like they were intentionally forgetting stuff. But nooooo, it was just average everyday memory loss. I haven't played the song since.
