The story:

I was 11 or so when I first heard the song, and had always thought it was a really weird translation that meant, "Hey, if you've nothing better to do & have some cash on you, let's get together and go somewhere!" It was years later when some friends and I were singing along to the tape that we realized none of us were singing the same lyrics. After much discussion & trying to wear out that particular part of the tape we decided we were never going to agree, and that we would have to just wait until we got home to look them up on the internet. Turns out that none of us were correct!
