Little Miss, Little Miss Candy Drawers

The story:

I really had to drawl out the word "Drawers" like a southerner to make it work in my own mind, but I swear I thought it really was real. I figured the singer was just crazy about his girlfriend and about having sex with her, right? That's what half of all rock songs talk about, so it didn't seem weird to me.

Until I was draaaawwwwlllin' out that "candy drawers" one day, long after the Spin Doctors ceased to be a force in pop music. Or alternative. Whatever you call it. A friend who is already much hipper than me informed me, with a wicked eye roll, of the real lyrics. I had to go out and buy a used copy just to verify that he wasn't just making fun of me. Turns out I love the album. So, I'm not hip, but I dance to it alone and still sing it my way when no one's around.
