Patty Hearst heard the burst of Roland's Thompson gun and body
The story:
I always thought it was "Thompson gun and body" - referring to the gun, and Roland's headless body (the song is, of course, generally about a Norwegian mercenary who gets his head blown off by the CIA, and his headless body haunts revolutionaries). But I guess it's wrong - I happened to look up Patty Hearst on Wikipedia, and they had the correct line under "pop culture references" or whatnot.
