The story:
This is what my mom thought it was when she was growing up. My grandma told her that she would care if she had a stick in her eye.
Editor's note: The original lyrics were actually "Ticket to Rye" where "Rye" was a town in England. The record execs changed the lyric so it would be less confusing to audiences. At least according to Casey Casem.

"Ticket to Rye"? I don't believe it. The other story I've heard, involving prostitutes, seems more likely for a Lennon song to me :-)
