The story:
I was shocked, frankly shocked when I read the real lyric on a website. I sang my version at the top of my lungs at many Clash concerts and punk clubs and no one ever laughed or corrected me. I guess that either it was too loud to hear me or no one else could understand what the heck Joe Strummer was singing.
