THE MISHEARD:

Twist a ram,
grab the first thing you see,
If the furs don't sour,
its no reflection on me

Maritime just pick your day,
Don't back on my feet,
Cause I like dancing this way

Real Lyric I don't know, I can't find the real lyrics anywhere,
but if anyone has them, please let me know the real
ones

Story was funny.

I misheard it that
way too!

The story:

I liked Terry Cashman (Dennis Minogue) for a few
years (the guy who sung Talkin' Baseball and other
baseball songs) and looking him up online, read he
was the lead singer of a band called the chevrons
in the late 1950's and had a song called "Dancing
this way" on album "Get up and dance" and heard it
a few times.

Going over the lyrics I cannot for the life of me
figure out what he is actually singing, but no way
is about twisting a ram and non souring fur. Glad
I didn't sing it out loud!
